Favourite local chef Duncan Ly makes dream of Foreign Concept a reality

quoteAm I going to do this?” asks Duncan Ly of his plans to open an alternative Asian restaurant. “Am I going to leave a comfortable life to open my own restaurant?”

Since resigning his executive chef position at Hotel Arts — a place where they named a restaurant after him — over a year ago, Ly has been asking himself these questions and waking up frequently at 3 a.m. with his heart pounding.

But his answer is simple. “I have to. It’s my dream.”
