Michel Nop, Sous Chef

Born and raised in Paris, France, Michel graduated from culinary school where he earned his red seal, at 17 years old. From then, he worked in bistros and private clubs in Paris, London and Calgary.  Ultimately, Paris beckoned him once again giving him the great opportunity to further his skills under the mentorship of 3 Star Michelin Chefs, Alain Ducasse and Alain Senderense.

Returning to Calgary in 2011, Michel has assumed Executive Chef roles for Cassis Bistro and Chef’s Table where he met Chef Duncan Ly.

In 2016 he took Bronze in Calgary’s Gold Medal Plates competition, placing with head chef Jinhee Lee who took gold.
